AMI consolidates in Africa with Malawi and Zambia acquisitions

With the acquisition of Manica Malawi and Manica Zambia, the complete Manica Group of companies has now been acquired by AMI International Limited.

AMI Limited has consolidated its logistics footprint in Africa with the acquisition of Manica Malawi Limited and Manica Zambia Pty Ltd.

The takeover of the two companies will be effective from the 31st of July 2017. Earlier this year AMI acquired Manica Zimbabwe, Manica and Manica Botswana.

With the acquisition of Manica Malawi and Manica Zambia, the complete Manica Group of companies has now been acquired by AMI International Limited.

With the Manica Group now added to the AMI stable, AMI Manica is now one of the largest logistic providers in the Eastern/Southern African region.

“The Board is very excited about this strategic acquisition and eager to have both brands benefit from the synergies that now exist between the two groups,” AMI said in a statement.

AMI is now able to offer logistics and transport solutions 12 eastern and southern African countries: Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa.

“The Manica Group adds substantial infrastructure in Zambia, Malawi, and Zimbabwe, allowing the AMI Manica group to offer the full range of logistical services without compromising the high level of personalized service that has become synonymous with the group,” the statement added.
